UDI RC 818 WIFI Radio is a neat looking radio that is designed like a comfortable airplane steering wheel. However its not a new design. It’s a copy of Parrot radio. UDI 818 WIFI radio is compatible with all UDI RC 818 Series model quadcopters and you can not only fly 818 series UDI quads with this radio but also view live video and fly first person view if Quadcopter has a WIFI enabled camera.
UDI 818S Quadcopter is big and very stable Quadcopter. Very easy to fly for beginners, however it’s underpowered due to its bigger size and weight, and geared motors. Also the camera System on this Quad is totally disappointing. All videos and still shots captured were filled with Jello and completely useless.
WIFI Live Video Transmission often broke and stuck even at less than 30 meters distances and 20 meters altitudes. That makes it complete impossible to fly this quad using Live video transmission.
Overall it was a disappointing experience. Maybe I expected too much from this quad, but again, seeing the live video quality, quad performance and camera system performance, it was very disappointing. I believe there are other similar cheaper products that do better job like Syma Galaxy visitor or Syma X5 or Syma X8 quadcopters.
If you still wanna get the Quadcopter, you can get it here
