Time to look at the payload which includes a camera, video transmitter and batteries. As usual, not everything goes to plan so the first-attempt fails due to the choice of 12V battery to power the video camera.
In this video I also decide to go for a much larger (240 liter) envelope after realizing that the 50 liter version will probably not generate enough lift. I also have some fun with passive solar balloons, getting one of the 50 liter bags to *almost* lift off and getting one of the 240 liter ones to fly away into the wild blue yonder (well almost).
And, for the environmentalists, I am using "compostible" bags that, so the label says, will bio-degrade and leave no trace.
