Jet Boots Building steps
1. We got EDFs (), ESCs (), a Radio (), batteries (), and a Power analyzer () from Hobby King.
2. We made CAD models of each component and then designed a custom boot mount to hold the EDF and ESC to a motorcycle boot.
3. Everything was printed on our LulzBot Taz 6 3d printer available on amazon here
4. We used ABS-X filament provided by InkSmith (/) and a 100 % infill
5. The boot mount was bolted to the back of the boots using 6x M3 screws with flat washers on the heads to prevent pull through.
6. The EDF and ESC were mounted and wires were run from the main battery pack.
7. 4 x 6s 6.2AH Lipo batteries () were assembled into a tactical vest med pack to make a modular 12s 12.4AH battery pack. As the system evolves, more battery packs can be added to the tactical vest in parallel.
8. Using the Radio and receiver from the arm thrusters, the Jet boot ESCs were run in parallel so that 1 throttle controls the arm and boot thrusters.
9. EDFs and LiPo batteries are extremely dangerous and should not under any circumstances be worn. Do not try this at home!
