"Aircraft" crashes, collisions, chaos and not violating CAA regulations

UPDATE: good news, apparently this isn't a violation of CAA's rules. An update to section 91 of the regulations has included a specific exclusion for "aircraft" operating under part 101 (thats models) so that's fantastic! However, it does show that the regulations are still (IMHO) an overly complex solution to a simple problem and many other anomalies and injustices remain. I'm happy to admit however, that on this specific occasion, I got it wrong! Yay!
More super-strong winds means more fun when you're flying RC planes like the HobbyKing Bonsai, the AXN or the FMS SuperEZ trainer. Unfortunately, it also means more chances of crashing and mid-air collisions -- both of which were in plentiful supply today. Believe it or not, flying an "aircraft" too close to another "aircraft" is a violation of CAA 91.227(1). I call them "models" but CAA call them "aircraft" so I guess we're all in big trouble now (or it might be that the regulations need a bit of work so as to remove anomalies like this).
