I was able to enlarge my elevons for this tailsitter build using a 3' long sheet of balsa wood from Michael's. The balsa is 1/4" thick and it worked perfectly. Very easy to cut and modify to replace the standard elevons.
This weekend I will finish tuning and share that in an upcoming video. After this, I will be working on forward flight. This has been a challenging build and configuration, but I'm optimistic it will be worth all the work.
