In a frontal view, the Freeride World Tour Xtreme Verbier competition face looks imposing, majestic, and yes, definitely scary. But what’s it like from a rider’s point of view?
It’s actually so steep that skiers and snowboarders can only see a few metres ahead of them – the terrain’s so inclined that it literally drops away out of view after that, and the next thing you see’s the arrival zone some 600m lower.
