James McAmmond
It is never east to say goodbye to someone who has been a part of our lives. When that person is gone, there's a hole where he used to be. That's what many of us are feeling today.
Some of you knew James better then others.
At such a painful time, it is important to remember the good memories we all have of James. By holding onto these memories, we can focus on all the good times we had together, and to help each other find comfort in this difficult time.
We asked family and friends to share a few memories about James. There are so many good ones that we will hold dear of a shy little guy with a sweet smile! A memory we have is one morning James woke up and asked us "what is that white stuff falling from the sky"-- it was snowing. Another childhood memory we have is of the three of us (Dale, Amanda and James) playing outside under the big tree making dirt roads to play cars. Our good friend Wendell remembers when Mom bought James a pair of hiking boots and Wendell took James to Harrison for a hike and while hiking James slipped and fell and said "These stupid boots don't work!"
His Aunts, Uncles and cousins will cherish the many fun times over the years, such as when we all traveled to Saskatchewan together and were able to really connect with one another. Not to mention all the rides to the duck pond in the little red wagon. We are grateful that in the years to come, James, Melissa and their family were able to attend so many of the family gatherings, including the wedding of Sharnele and Nathan.
Grandpa and Grandma will always remember when James would call Grandma "Paw" These are just a few of the memories we will treasure forever.
In 2006 James worked at Wal-Mart as a truck unloader where he met Melissa in 2007. James was a stepdad to Hayden and Karli and then in 2008 James and Melissa welcomed their son Drake. James worked at Stream for about 1.5 years, then in 2009 moved to Abbotsford to raise their family. James then went on to work at Plasma Tech from 2012 to 2015. In 2015 he worked for TD Steel where he was a plasma table operator.
It is hard to say goodbye to someone we know and love, and even harder to let go and move on. We will always love and miss you James.
MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU
Sept. 16th 1989 - Feb. 4th 2018
This video explains what has been going on since the last video and for the last year. The reason I have decided to do this video and post the slide show at the end is because many people where not able to attend the service of my brother and would like to see the slide show.
On February 4th 2018 I lost my little brother to cancer. He was 28 years old. February 23rd we had his funeral. He was a great man and I miss him so much. He meant more to me then words could ever describe. I will always have my memories of us.
The end of this video there is a slide show dedicated to my brother from the time he was born until the time he passed away up until a few days before. He was a HUGE Star Wars fan.
