Mike Barbee's 36% RC Beechcraft T-34 Mentor N134TP Demo Flight

We caught up with Mike Barbee at the 2nd annual RC Warbirds Over Port Clinton show in Port Clinton, Ohio. He brought along his beautiful, award-winning scratch built 36% Beechcraft T-34 Mentor, modeled after Harold Cannon's full scale T-34. Interesting story, Mike snapped pictures of Harold's T-34 at EAA's AirVenture in Oshkosh, WI but never met Harold. Harold's daughter was researching the registration number for her father's airplane earlier this year and ran across our news posting about Mike's 36% winning the Expert Class at Top Gun and reached out to us at 2BFLY. Mike is a member of our local club in Westerville so we forwarded the info and the two connected.
Mike says he plans to show and fly his T-34 for a few years and then perhaps he'll take Harold up on his offer to buy the Mentor to hang in his living room.
This is one of the most beautiful RC airplanes you'll ever see and the fact that Mike flies it regularly makes it even more enjoyable for us spectators. Enjoy the view!
