More jet-powered RC planes from Tokoroa, filmed on the 24 November, 2013.
Unfortunately, since "rules" and politics effectively make it impossible to film from the flightline now, I've had to refine my technique to try and catch the action from a much greater distance.
The cheap telephoto lens tends to be a bit foggy with color fringing at high levels of zoom and even the Sony's "super steady" stabilization can't really cope with 35x zoom in a hand-held camcorder so in this video I've added some extra stabilization in post-edit -- with variable effect.
I've been trying different ideas including highly zoomed shots (since I've got the lens) but I would be interested in feedback from viewers as to what works and what doesn't in this video.
