In this episode, the Roswell Flight Test Crew speaks with Rich Hanson, the government and regulatory affairs director for the Academy of Model Aeronautics about several issues confronting the hobby. First among them is the UAS registration process put in place by the Federal Aviation Administration. Rich describes how he hopes AMA membership will soon serve as federal registration, and the negotiations that took place within the UAS Registration Task Force created by the FAA to help develop the new requirement. He also talks about the nature of the 400-foot limit on modeling activities prescribed by the FAA, the FAA and AMA's stance on First-Person View flying and his retirement as an employee of the AMA.
