First Day with the GoPro Hero 6

I have an obsession with slo mo. All shots in this video were shot either at 1080p @ 240 (wide) frames per second (slowed down to 30fps, to make an 8x slow motion), or 4k @ 30fps (superview). The hero 6 has an AMAZING wide dynamic range, and I can actually see blues in the sky occasionally, even when the majority of the frame is very dark in terms of shadows. LOVE it. Unfortunately, we did most of this shooting after the sun had gone down behind the trees on the west end of our field, so I'm guessing especially the slo mo shots will be even better in the future.
I think we as a community have definitely tended towards the GoPro sessions, and I think that because of the weight of the latest from GoPro, we've all guffawed a little bit at the new camera. However -- some specs stood out and appealed to me, so I went ahead and took the risk and traded in my 5 session for a hero 6.
4k @ 30fps with SUPERVIEW (previously we always had to do 2.7k @30 to get superview.
And more interesteding to me personally:
1080p @ 240fps (that's 8-9x slo motion) -- which means you can capture crashes and smashes and all of that in super duper slow motion, and I love every second of it. I'm obsessed with slow motion.
So yeah.. there are some definite downsides to the camera, but I'm going to play with it and experiment, and you can take that however you want. :-)
