Just a couple of weeks before Christmas, this De Havilland Chipmunk dropped in to the Tokoroa Airfield so I took the chance to get some interesting shots of the plane.
This particular Chipmunk was built in 1949 and spent much of its life in India, after which it was transported to New Zealand and restored. A few years ago it had an unfortunate forced-landing in the sea but was recovered, washed down, rinsed in CRC and made airworthy again.
Just a little eye-candy for those who love old DH aircraft.
