HobbyKing Snow Boat

Well, we live in Canada and everybody talks about how much snow we get....NOT! (Not here at least!) This video was taken on New Years Day.
I screwed up and did not properly plug in the cord to my fancy, smanchy new microphone so I lost all the audio for this and a couple other videos. DOH! I'm hoping you won't notice that I tried to fake it and pretend the audio wasn't there in the first place, ya right!
Just in case we did get some snow this winter, Danny put together a "Snow Boat" to have some fun in the white stuff at our little club. As you can see from the video, the grass that got a little wet from a heavy mist was good enough to give her a go. We think it will go at least twice as fast on the slippery white stuff instead of the grass.
He started with a Hobby King Wooden Sponson Race Boat Kit that cost twenty bucks as an unassembled kit (It's 40 bucks if you're too lazy to put it together and want someone to do it for you.)
Danny played around with different motor, prop and motor locations until he found the sweet spot. The rudder is made from Coroplast (sign making material). He made up some sexy wooden sponsons that attach to the aft end of the little bugger and it makes it much more stable.
There was a lot of interest in Danny's little franken boat and I have no doubt there will be several made up in the next little while so we can race them against each other if we get some snow.
