Sensory simulation system for overcoming a fear of heights
At the Industrial Virtual Technology Expo, Crescent demonstrated a “sensory simulation system for overcoming acrophobia.”
In this system, the user puts on the wearable display HEWDD-768 from Virtual-Eye, so the user’s entire field of view is covered by a CG display. Also, a motion capture system is utilized to change the viewpoint within the CG to match the user’s actual motion. This makes users really feel as if they are inside the CG world, so they can fully experience a virtual reality.
