Ella Vos’ music is pop, but, she reminds, “it's also personal.” The Los Angeles native started playing piano at the age of five and studied music in college, but this self-proclaimed “classical nerd” switched paths after working with an indie-rock band. Not long after she became part of Børns' backup band, leaving the gig when she became pregnant. During that period, she turned her focus to songwriting, and her first single, “White Noise,” was a moving snapshot of her postpartum emotions. It was released five weeks after her son was born, and immediately touched listeners worldwide, clocking more than 15 million plays on Spotify. Ella is finishing her debut album, 'Words I Never Said,' which also delves into searingly honest territory on “You Don't Know About Me” and “Little Brother.” For her Vevo dscvr session she chose and “Down In Flames,” a riveting tune driven by an evocative performance.
