It only took about an hour to repair the crash damage from the maiden. A little hot water took out most of the wrinkles in the foam and a straightforward repair to the flaps and a new prop was all it took to make her (almost) as good as new.
Because we had no idea what caused her to crash, I programmed a new model and rebound the receiver (and reset the failsafes) just to be on the safe side. With fingers crossed, up she went. Leigh did his usual excellent job on the sticks for this flight.
We can't wait until the weather improves enough for us to work on the field so that we can get rid of the bumps and lumps that winter left behind. Longish grass with a bumpy field is an excellent recipe for tail dragging small foamie warbird nose-overs!
I hope you enjoy the flight!
If any of you have found the right color match for the paint to touch up this beautiful little foamie warbird, please let me know what you're using, thanks very much!
Thanks to Go Go Hobbies for lending me Leigh to do the flying who did a superb job as usual!
