This video shows the process I went through to upgrade my MakerBot Replicator 2 extruder drive block assembly. I've had many PLA extrusion failures over the past year. Nothing too major, but I've really wanted to lower the number of occurrences. I read about the MakerBot Replicator 2 Drive Block Upgrade and decided to order. It was free and all I had to do was pay for shipping. The only problem was I ordered the free kit on May 15, 2013 and it didn't show up for almost 3 months. Hopefully things will approve now that MakerBot has been acquired by Stratasys!

Perhaps if you pay the $8 instead of doing the free version you may get it quicker. Not sure but wanted to mention it.
