Hydrofoil Racing in Saint Petersburg - Red Bull Foiling Generation

Red Bull Foiling Generation saw young Russian sailors in a tough struggle for victory in the waters of the Saint Petersburg. Two crews consistently topped the qualification rounds battling side-by-side, but in the final race, Simon Suhno and Kirill Elchaninov took advantage of a tactical error made by their rivals, speeding ahead with a commanding lead for the win and the national championship. They will represent Russia in the World Final in 2016.
27 сентября в Санкт-Петербурге завершился российский этап международной молодежной серии Red Bull Foiling Generation - уникального соревнования парусных катамаранов на подводных крыльях для талантливых яхтсменов в возрасте от 16 до 20 лет. На протяжении нескольких дней экипажи участников вели напряженную борьбу в формате соревнований на выбывание – в воскресенье, в финальной гонке в акватории Яхт-Клуба Санкт-Петербурга, уверенную победу одержал экипаж Семена Сухно (Тольятти) и Кирилла Ельчанинова (Самара). Российский экипаж победителей национального этапа примет участие в первом мировом финале Red Bull Foiling Generation, который состоится в 2016 году.
