The impact of changing rotor or blade size on Multirotors

In one of my other videos -- -- a few subscribers have asked about why I didn't use other props on the model. The answer is simple; I used the ones specified for the battery I was using.
Most motors will come with a recommendation about which rotor size and pitch to use. The danger comes when you don't use this recommendation as what appear very small changes can make a significant impact on the power (and amperage) your model uses.
In this video I explain why this is the case and share some knowledge that Lucian Miller helped me understand.
