In this episode, the Roswell Flight Test Crew speaks with Bob Schmidt, the Vice President for Sales at Hoodman. The company, which has been producing sun shades for video monitors used in television and film production for nearly 30 years, has developed a line of accessories for drone pilots. These include the Drone Belt: a padded belt that incorporates a bracket for mounting a drone's radio control for hands-free operations that also eliminates the need for a neck strap, as well as sun shades customized for iPads and other tablets used to receive video and telemetry downlinks. The company has also developed a collapsible drone landing pad with a weighted perimeter, to protect the drone's motors and camera equipment when lifting off in a dusty environment.
