Learn How to Fly FPV

In this episode, the Roswell Flight Test Crew presents a session entitled “FPV 101,” taught at the InterDrone conference in Las Vegas in September 2015. The primary focus of the class is analog First-Person View (FPV) systems, covering topics that include: the basic FPV flight model, acquiring an amateur (i.e., “ham”) radio license, aircraft selection, frequencies available for video transmissions, antenna types and characteristics, video transmitters, camera types, on-screen displays (OSDs) and the importance role of a spotter or observer in the conduct of safe flying operations.
