In the new Raw 100, Ryan Sandes run's across the mountains of South Africa. No slow-mo, no fancy edits, just the pure raw sound of trail running.
South African Ryan Sandes is daring to do the impossible—win ‘the original’ ultra marathon: The Western States 100, by finishing in under 15 hours. Since running this race in 2014, Sandes has dreamt of winning it and carrying his son on a victory lap. With the 2017 race only months away now, Sandes strives for the impossible by training in a variation of conditions—from the beaches of South Africa to the mountains of Tibet. Additionally, he will also train using environmental chambers—acclimatizing his body to the severe heat of June. However, one question remains: will all this training pay off on race day?
