STEALTHLY, and POWERFUL! In good form - this episode is certainly Jeremy Clarkson themed. I install an overpowered Electronic Speed Control for the electric outboard boat motor, as well as I Installed the Water Cooling system for the Outboard and ESC. The Motor I have installed inside the outboard is a 2000kv 4Pole Brushless Powerhouse! Also, to be completely over the top - I take a chance and install a cable driven steering system in the back tray, along with the beginning of my "Captains Area". So much had to happen today, in the "thinking " department - I ended up cutting a lot from the film to keep it a reasonable time length.. but today was a long filming session. Worth every moment though.. just wait for the surprise I have coming up to install on the rig.
Jeremey Clarkson was able to pilot the Toybota from the back bed/tray of the truck - and I also want to have a "helm", if you will.
Apart from these installs, I also fabricated new pontoons, and stabilizers for the side floatation. I think the audience that has been following along with this build will be quite happy with the progress being made.
I am tackling this insane, and ludicrous build - as our channel is quickly approaching 1 BiLLiON Total Upload Videos - and a tribute to the Top Gear Toyota/Toybota was the perfect building candidate for this auspicious occasion! Completely unique, and one of, if not the FiRST Radio Control Tribute to the entertainers.
Long Live the Classic BBC Top Gear, and Long Live RC ADVENTURES!
I am filming in Alberta, Canada - and I hope you have been enjoying the build. It is a hair brained idea.. but the more I work at it.. the more refined its becoming. What a wonderful build - becuase even if I fail at making this work - I have had SO MUCH FUN trying! Now, I have a better vibe about it.. and Im optimistic that this truck is going to be amphibious. Just How well will it work?! We will have to wait and see!
We are getting close now.. Just have to install the new Radio System, and Finish the Captains Area.. and we should be good for testing.
Thank you for being patient and taking part in the comment section of this video. Builds like this are completely unique for me.. and have no instructions to follow. It all has to come from imagination and tinkering around. I think that's why I love the hobby of Radio Control So Much. The Only limit.. is your imagination.. Much like most things in life :)
Enjoy!
