In this episode, the Roswell Flight Test Crew visits the 3D Robotics booth at the 2015 National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) conference in Las Vegas, Nevada, to take a look at the new Solo quadcopter, specifically designed for aerial video. The Solo mounts a GoPro Hero video camera on an optional three-axis gimbal and provides a video feed via the pilot's Android or iOS device. It also features two special flight modes – orbit and cable cam – that use autonomous control to deliver smooth, repeatable aerial camera moves. It utilizes the new Pixhawk2 flight control system, as well as a 1 GHz ARM Cortex A9 computer processor to manage its autonomous maneuvers.
