Please help us to find bad videos. Broken or unappropriated video content?
Joshua Bardwell just posted a video in which he explains the reasons why he is going to be using affiliate links in the descriptions of his review videos. I can understand why he is doing this and I am under exactly the same pressures to keep the channel paying for itself -- but I have a somewhat different plan.
Tell me what you think about the concept of me providing a "generic" link to Banggood (or whatever) that does not promote any particular product. Viewers wanting to support the channel could then use this link to go to the site and purchase whatever they were going to purchase anyway and the commission would help support the channel.
Good idea? Bad idea? Stupid idea?
You tell me -- but I certainly won't be using affiliate links to products I review because I wish to retain a good distance from the implications of such links.
