NASA Room Cancels Out Earth’s Magnetic Field, CubeSat Tested

NASA’s Magnetic Test Facility at the Goddard Space Flight Center was used to test the Dellingr satellite. The test occurred in a building made of “nonmagnetic materials such as wood an aluminum” and has a large coil system that cancels out Earth’s magnetic field, according to the space agency. The satellite’s mission will be to study the Earth’s ionosphere.
