In this episode, the Roswell Flight Test Crew unboxes and sets up the Mavic Pro drone from DJI. The Mavic is designed to fold into a compact shape, making it easy to transport. It can be controlled with either the included, two-stick radio or directly through the DJI Go app using WiFi. A manual switch on the side of the aircraft enables changing back and forth between these two control modes. In spite of its small size, the Mavic carries a camera capable of capturing 4K video and 12 megapixel stills, mounted on a miniaturized three-axis gimbal. The Mavic controller has a built-in LED display that shows basic telemetry, such as current altitude, distance and battery life remaining. It gain access to additional information and the live video feed from the camera, install the DJI Go 4 app on either an iOS or Android smart device, such as a smartphone or tablet.
