When a gusty cross-wind caught Bob's RC model plane on takeoff, it turned 90 degrees and headed straight for the watching crowd (of two). Then the engine missed a beat and all looked lost.
Only Bob's lightning-fast reactions and quick thinking saved the day (and the model), narrowly averting a nasty crash. As the plane swooped low, dragging a wingtip through the grass, everyone held their breath and wondered which way to run.
Marveling at his skills, the crowd went wild with admiration -- people drove hundreds of miles, parking and pitching tents in the field next door, in the hope that Bob would once again brave the adverse conditions and show them how to fly.
Alas, it was not to be. We all packed up and went home.
