The idea of this video was to make a functional 3D printed spur gear for a radio controlled car, made from a very tough nylon. Numerous people ask me what I do with my 3D printers, why do you need one? This is a perfect example of a situation were a 3D printer can help you! Instead of waiting 30 days for a spare part from China, I was able to sketch it up using a CAD sofware (Fusion360) and print
a new working gear within a few hours!
