Please help us to find bad videos. Broken or unappropriated video content?
Here it is -- the first flight of (as far as I know) the world's only nitro-powered AXN.
The Cox Black Widow 049 did a credible job of spinning a 5x5 prop and the model flies surprisingly well -- albeit we're only talking about the equivalent of less than 100W of power.
Because it's actually lighter than the electric version, the performance isn't too bad -- although the wind was blowing pretty hard so it's difficult to judge from the video.
Unfortunately, Barry needs a bit of training on the video camera but I'll try to get him up to speed before the next video and he can't be totally blamed because I forgot to turn on the stead-shot (duh!).
Stay tuned for the power-plant upgrade to an ASP32 with tuned pipe. I'm expecting to get the equivalent of about 900W of power out of that.
