All packed up and hitting the road! Got the tent trailer hooked on to the RC RV (a vintage 1974 Tonka Indian Winnebago), as well as the ATV. I've never pulled a 2 trailer train, but I figure - how hard could it be?! After I find an appropriate spot, I briefly setup camp - and took the RC ATV for a good river rock crawl, before heading back to make dinner...
I have converted the Tonka Truck to a Motor On Axle setup. There is a brushed motor running the front, and brushed electric motor running the rear axle. I did do a tutorial video on how I installed the setup:
The MOA Setup I am using is an RC4WD Bully 2 Axle - you can find them: (Front: ) (Rear: )
The RV does have rear wheel steering - though I never had to use it today. If you want to see the rear steer in action, check out this film:
The ATV is a Suzuki Vinsen 500. I made this RC from a "1/24 scale Losi Micro Trail Trekker", and build a model for the ATV top. You can find the model kit: ()
I do have a video showing how to do it here:
You can find the front drag link (the blue one) here: () And also, here is the rear lockout: ()
For a wider variety of scale trail RC truck kits - I have compiled this list for you:
Axial SCX10 2 Kit: ()
RC4WD Trail Finder 2 Kit: ()
Vaterra 1986 Chevy K5 Blazer Kit ()
G-Made Komodo Pickup RTR (Ready To Run) ()
Tamiya Highlift F-350 Kit: ()
Axial Wraith Spawn: ()
Hope that helps all the modellers out there who love the Radio Control Hobby!
