Filmed at Sulphur Mountain, in Banff Canada, This is a Proline Ford F-650 Super Duty body, mounted on my Axial SCX10 Honcho custom built kit. Integy Shocks, Tekin FXR ESC/ Castle BEC, Proline Masher 2.2 tires, Proline 8-Shooter Rims, Tekin 35t HW brushed motor, running on a Spektrum DX3R RX/TX. It has 2 functioning winches. Front, and rear. Scale Accessories by my friend Cory J - Check out his gear here: /
An Upgraded set of Aluminum drive shafts, steering knuckles, hubs and various parts of the vehicle have been completed for strengthening.
The Power system is from MaxAmps*com, and operates on 2 Lipo Batteries. A 2S for the winch control, and a 3S 2200mah 60c for the Main power. Run time is approximately 45 minutes, depending on your driving style.
The cost for this vehicle / radio combo is approximately $1700, and was custom built by using hand selected parts. You cannot purchase this truck "as is".. to replicate it, you need to order the selected parts. And yes, You can buy a real truck for this much money, but wooptie-do, tell someone who cares ;-)
Total Weight of the Truck is 8.5 Pounds.
Common Question: "The Suspension looks too stiff"
Yeah, I figured some folks may say that.. but IMO they are just right. I have 15 trucks, and for this type of monster truck, I dont want ultimate articulation. It falls into holes too easy then. The front is setup differently than the rear suspension. Firmer up front - softer for the rear. As you can see the truck was extremely capable up this mountain climb. The part you havent seen .. is the decent down the same path. if the front shocks were less stiff, upon decent of the rocks, it would roll forward - end over end. This is one of my most capable trucks so far.
