DIY Mini Quadcopter MultiWii Configuration and Maiden Hover Fail

Well it was bound to happen. I was so anxious to get this guy in the air, but it didn't happen. It appears to be a problem with the MultiWii board, but I'm not 100% certain yet. This video walks through the steps for configuring and loading the firmware on your MultiWii. I went with all the basics just so I could get it to hover. If I overlooked something then please let me know.
This was pretty much identical to what I did previously to test the MWC with a 450 quad that I was helping a friend build. Next up I'm going to plug in my APM 2.5 just to see if there's any difference in the way the quad behaves.
Here are my fail theories at the moment:
1. Something misconfigured with the MWC board
2. Motors aren't powerful enough
3. Props too small
The AUW for the quad with the 2s lipo is 180 grams and with the 3s it is 230 grams. I'd have to think there would be enough thrust to get this guy off the ground, but to be honest I have no idea how much thrust they generate. I'm going to do a bench test soon to find out.
If you have any suggestions I'd love to hear them and thanks for following along with this build.
