The UCI Mountain Bike World Cup kicked off in style at the iconic French track, where the worlds best downhillers took to the trail in new jerseys, new bikes (29ers too...woah!) and a new fire to stand atop podiums world wide. Last year's world champ from the women's division, Rachel Atherton, recovered from a bout of illness early in the week, but found herself in good enough form to turn it on for a hard earned win at the season opener.
