Pros
- Ready to fly with all needed equipment for FPV flying including monitor screen.
- Large 1020 motors provide plenty of power.
- Although a toy grade quadcopter, it has both 2D angle (stabilized with angle restrictions) and actual 3D acro (non stabilized, no angle restriction) flight mode capabilities.
- 8 channel 5.8 Ghz FPV system with 120 degree FOV camera. Transmitted video can also be received with FPV goggles.
- Camera lens can be swiveled down for ground view, or upward for high speed FPV flying.
- 720p camera with DVR produces relatively good recorded aerial video.
- Relatively inexpensive quadcopter for what you're getting. Good for beginner FPV fliers.
- Somewhat robust to crashes. Watch as I crash it many times and keep on flying. Of course I was craching into grass and dirt. Concrete and asphalt may give different results.
- Well under 250 grams. Does not require FAA registration.
Cons
- Factory tuned PIDs, can not be refined.
- Although the FPV video range was very good, the control range of the quadcopter seemed to be limited at around 60 meters. This particularly affected my attempts to fly FPV acro, with momentary control loss and crashes as the quadcopter approached its range limit. The receiver antenna appears to be installed and compacted tightly near the DVR. I will attempt a follow on flight with its antenna moved outside of the canopy to see if it helps improve range.
