Shaking a Nearly 9 Billion Dollar Space Telescope - JWST Vibration Test Video

The rigors of launch demand extreme testing for payloads. NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope was recently placed on a shake table to simulate vibrations it will endure. The telescope has an estimated “life-cycle cost of $8.835 billion dollars (USD),” according to the space agency.
