SWIM is back on the field

Video Channel
Please help us to find bad videos. Broken or unappropriated video content?
Yes, I am afraid that I am no longer a member of SWIM.
We're all still good friends and there's no animosity -- just a bit of sorrow.
Sorrow that that the days when a group of people could simply fly their RC models in the company of good friends, without posing a risk or danger to anyone else and without the spectre of grumpy old men putting their oars in -- have gone forever.
I strongly recommend that all those who have enjoyed the XJet videos featuring the cast of the SWMAC jump over to the rcgutt channel where that kind of happy humor and fun flying continues. I guess Norway has a lot going for it that NZ doesn't these days.
No more Ron, Barry, Richard, Brent, Debs, Neil, Stu, Wayne, Julie, Egmont, Mickey, Helen, the Flying Doc, Ken and the others on this channel I'm afraid - because it's important to ensure that the grumpy old men see no association between myself and the club. I wish the members of SWIM good luck and many happy days of flying, as the spring and summer unfold.
I guess, with the xjet spotlight turned off, the once world-famous town of Tokoroa will return to being just another nondescript place somewhere in New Zealand that few outside the country will ever have heard of.
It is a sad indictment on the selfishness of a few grumpy old men when a club feels that they have have no option but to distance themselves from a founding member -- simply to ensure that they get fair treatment from "the powers that be".
However, please remember, I was only invited to resign as a *committee* member - the decision to resign my membership completely was entirely my own, not at the prompting of the club -- but it was a necessary one I believe.
And don't worry too much - because now I am a free agent.
I am no longer constrained by the grumpy old men's rules that SWIM have to observe.
Now I have the chance to do lots of things with RC models that I could never have done before. The sky (as they say) is the limit!
Stay tuned for more videos with the focus on excitement, pushing the limits and striking fear in the the hearts of grumpy old men everywhere -- only on the xjet channel!
And of course, remember that RCModelReviews will now get even more of my time and continue and grow, especially now that this massive distraction has been eliminated.
