Henry "Hank" McCoy is a member of the X-Men whose mutated features surfaced early in life. This included large hands and feet, as well as advanced intellect, agility, reflexes and superhuman strength. Expelled from school due to being a mutant, his remarkable abilities attracted the attention of Professor Charles Xavier, who was in the process of forming his original X-Men team. Joining the X-Men as its fourth member, he took on the field codename of “Beast,” and helped the team face various enemies. These included Magneto and his Brotherhood of Mutants. Unfortunately, a horrible accident caused him to grow blue fur all over his body, as well as gain other animal-like features and tendencies.
