Thanks to the Alamo City FPV Racers for letting me race with them while I was in town. On the last night in town, I smashed my QAV-R into a metal sign post and thoroughly destroyed it. Don't worry. It's fine now.
The police officer was perfectly pleasant. I only show the interaction because it's hilarious that she showed up right as we were examining my destroyed copter. And everybody knows that police encounters drive YouTube hits...
Oh, and yes, I did miss two gates on my first lap and not go back around to get them. I actually didn't 100% know the course. But since I totally destroyed my copter trying to finish the race, I hope you'll cut me some slack.
PPS: The Quadrysteria 3D printed Yi mount was actually fine. The screws all pulled out but there was no damage to the mount and it went back together again good as new.
