In this episode, the Roswell Flight Test Crew speaks with Brian Chacone of Wingsland about the company's new S6 pocket drone. Incorporating a 4K camera and dual GPS receivers, the S6 provides a suite of autonomous functions, including Follow Me and Orbit flight modes, as well as gesture control. Primary flight control is maintained using a smartphone or tablet. Several accessories, including a pellet gun, a flashlight and an emoji screen, are already available for the S6, and connect to the aircraft via a connector on the top surface of the aircraft. Planned future accessories include an obstacle avoidance sensor and a two-stick remote control – which unfolds to accommodate the user's smart phone for a First-Person View display, in the style of the Mavic's controller. The S6 sells for $399 and is now available on Amazon and other online retailers.
