Aztech Aeromodels 30cc Slipstream Yak 55M (electric)

Yet another page written for the book entitled: "Harv, will you fly my plane?" This is a book that I hope doesn't get finished for a long, long time.
On this day, Ron brought his Yak 55M to the field and invited his brother along to check out our club and the flying. So if you want to put on a show for your brother, who better to do it than our resident ace, Harvey D.
Of course, Harv was only too happy to oblige. Ron promptly handed his transmitter to Harv and this is what happened. Ron's brother wasn't disappointed and neither was the rest of the gang!
This Aztech Aeromodels Slipstream Yak 55 looks very sexy in the air, especially when it is slow dancing with Harv.

This was one of many great flights we witnessed at the two day first annual Trudi Simonson Memorial Fun Fly event held at Spectrum Flyers on August 25-26, 2012. We were able to raise a nice donation to the Canadian Cancer Society in the name of Trudi who was the wife of one of our members and who lost her battle with cancer last year. (What makes this video especially poignant is that Trudi was Ron's wife.)
As for the music, the song is "Day By Day" by the late, great Doug Bennett of Doug and the Slugs. They were an awesome dance band that played the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver in the 80's and I have many great memories of the good times we had when they were playing. RIP Trudi and Doug.
