Just wanted to share my recent experience from the field. I was "grounded" by a local deputy while trying to fly my Inspire 1 at the field the other day. It's becoming more apparent whether you're a hobbyist or commercial drone operator that we need to be well-versed with our local and federal regulations. That way we can speak intelligently to law enforcement or anyone questioning what we're doing. Here are the Texas regulations as it relates to capturing images with a UAV:
