Even with its popular game franchises, such as Mario, Zelda, and Donkey Kong, Nintendo's immediate future isn't looking good. The Wii U's sales are abysmal, the 3DS' aren't great, and software titles for both systems are selling below expectations. All Nintendo needs to do to reverse its fortunes is release a couple games for mobile. But why haven't they already?
