Foxtech PVR58II Compact DVR

DVR is a great gadget for you to record your actual FPV flights with all the OSD data and real life feed coming from your plane. They are also a great tool to analyze the recorded footage and find your crashed aircraft in case you actually crash your aircraft during flight. And finally if you are unable to retrieve your crashed aircraft, at least you have the real footage recorded at your end and you do not lose the valuable flight footage.
Foxtech PVR58II is a great compact DVR that does a very good job at recording and at the same time 5inch screen is more than enough to fly FPV as well using the DVR mounted on your radio. Great little gadget if you are doing short range flights or Aerial filming only.
The only issue I have with this unit, is that it’s not that bright to show clear images. When it’s a sunny day, even the shades fail to assist and pilot will always have difficulty watching the live image and or fly FPV using DVR LCD. LCD gets too much reflection and even with full brightness it’s not easy to see clear images to fly FPV. Apart from that, it does not offer diversity Rx, unlike other DVR so do not expect a very good video reception unless you have a powerful antenna setup and you are doing a video in cable to the DVR.
Overall it does a good job and gets 3 out of 5 points in my review.
