Too much vibration will make your multirotor fly bad and hurt your ability to tune the copter well. This is especially relevant if you are pushing for the absolute tightest tune, such as for FPV acro flight or drone racing. But how much vibration is normal, and how much is too much? In this video, I discuss this question, and show you how to baseline the vibration level of your motors so that you'll know when they're ready to retire.
I am using the RotorGeeks 7075 series 2205/2700kv motors, provided by RotorGeeks for this purpose. This is an example of one of the highest-end motors you can buy, so hopefully it will perform very well in our testing (and, of course, in flight--but that's for another day).
