RC ADVENTURES - REAPER RAT ROD MT - What BROKE?! Traxxas Summit 4x4 Monster Truck
- Wow.. what a great time I had with this Big Machine. Now I am paying the penalty..! Broken parts from severe power and abuse. No matter - we must figure out what is wrong! Here is a link to a FULL Running Video that was in this film:
So, I dive into the Traxxas Summit yet again to repair the damage I inflicted on "the REAPER". This truck is custom built using a variety of parts. I did complete a FULL Upgrade video series. Here is the starting link:
I can clearly see the axle stub is broken.. and I will need to replace it. I have ordered some MIP drive shafts to replace the shock ones. I was foolish not to do this in the first place.. when I installed the Dual Motor setup from Kershaw Designs. Here is a link to the Motor Upgrade I did:
The Tires I am using are called IMEX JUMBO KONGS. The Aluminum Rims I am using are from RC4WD - but are discontinued.
I am not upset at all by the outcome of the running video. In fact, I am encouraged because finding these "weaker" parts in the rig is what the hobby is all about for me! It's fun, innovative, creative, mechanical and a Giant Puzzle of Fun! I really do enjoy the hobby of RC - and I hope my films inspire you to get outdoors.. and try this hobby for yourself!
