Damn you Runcam! Just when you think all your FPV cameras are up to date and the best there is, Runcam brings out another offering that delivers even more functionality for just a little extra cash. But just how good is the Swift 2 and is it worth that extra money?
Well based on how easy it was to upgrade the HS1177 in my Bolt 210 miniquad, I'd have to say yes.
The Swift 2 is worth it if you don't have any kind of effective telemetry on your models or if you want to save the weight, space and added complexity associated with a regular OSD.
Pros:
- you get a pretty accurate voltage display
- this is a nice SuperHAD II CCD camera with WDR
- an excellent operating voltage range
- super-good wiring (very flexible silicone)
- the extension lead makes camera adjustments easy-as.
- choice of cases can ease installation
Not sure yet:
- the 2.3mm lens (watch the flight test for more on this)
Cons:
- you are probably going to have to buy one.
