First up and out on Mr Beatnick's new Mythstery imprint is the Instant Bull LP from Genevan producer and Beatnick's longtime friend and collaborator, Breakplus.
Partly a beat tape, partly a mini-album, Instant Bull is a hip hop celebration of Turkish rock. Breakplus' musical journey began during the golden era of hip hop, and upheld this musical rhetoric in his own records, shown through his deft sampling skills. Anatolian sounds are one of the "world music" samples popping up more and more in dance music, with our highlight track "An Atol Alien" ringing bells of day parties and festival sets gone by. A little glimpse of Turkish sunshine.
Instant Bull drops on 9th November via Mythstery.
