In this video we take a quick look at one of the most commonly asked for features of Cleanflight - Soft Serial. In this video we discuss the feature broadly and then look at the way to use it on both the Naze32 and Seriously Pro F3 (SP3) flight controller.
SoftSerial allows those builders who are not using PWM to use the spare pins on the RC Inputs as additional I/O. SoftSerial will create two additional I/O setups using the spare pins but use the power of the CPU, rather than a dedicated UART, to run them.
This does cause a few limitations for SoftSerial ports.
