This is the maiden flight of my Bix3 ( Bixler 3 ) and also the first time using ailerons and flaps. I'm using a APC 8x6"E Pusher Prop which gives the model quite a bit of extra power. However at full throttle pulls 21a- 1amp over the limit! I may upgrade the esc later (probably motor too). I'm running 2 2200mah 3s batteries in parallel. I would choose to run one battery but the model seems to be very tail heavy and this was the only way to get the COG in the correct place.
Speaking of COG (center of gravity), during this flight I accidentally set the plane 1/2' too nose heavy. This may have helped the plane penetrate the wind a bit but it wasn't as controllable as I would have liked.
It's obvious in the video that I'm over controlling the ailerons! I'm used to the 3 channel flight characteristics also how a quadcopter is controlled. I almost crash on my second flight due to this.
Can't wait until next flight!
